Before a commercial cleaning company can begin work, it’s essential to create a list of things that need to get done to make the building move-in ready. Below is a short list, but not, by all means, a complete one, of some of the cleaning tasks necessary to get a building or home ready to be occupied.

STAGE 1: ROUGH CLEAN
Our Project Managers walk through the job site and inspect the facility to ensure it’s ready for cleaning. Areas are then assigned to specialized teams, and the cleaning begins. Large, heavy items such as debris and trash are removed from the job site. Dirt, light drywall, and paint may also be removed or hauled to a dumpster. Floors are swept and vacuumed, and stickers are removed from surfaces such as windows and doors.
STAGE 2: FINAL CLEAN
This is the most labor and time-intensive part of the cleaning and when specialized machines and tools are utilized the most. Floor machines are used, the interior and exterior of windows are cleaned, and surfaces are shined. Machine scrubbing of tile/marble flooring/ stripping and waxing of vinyl tile or luxury vinyl occurs in medical facilities. In the case of warehouse cleaning, ride-on scrubbing machines are used to clean large floor areas. Rooms like bathrooms, kitchens, or those with a particular purpose are thoroughly cleaned. For example, sinks, cabinets, tubs, toilets, etc., are cleaned and detailed. Stairwells, elevators, storage areas, and utility rooms are also cleaned. An exterior pressure wash of the building, should it be necessary, will be completed during this stage.
STAGE 3: TOUCH UP CLEAN
This stage is a light clean to remove extra dust, caused by final punch out items. Floors are vacuumed and mopped, smudges, and fingerprints are removed during the Touchup cleaning stage. Then the entire site, should it be required, is sanitized/disinfected. After this occurs, the job site is suitable for final (“white glove”) inspection, acceptance, and sign-off from the client. The site is now move-in ready.
